My sheets smell of you

My sheets smell of you
And how could that be
I just came home
And the bed’s been empty for long.

A sparkling sun shines
Across the day
Like a benediction of some kind
That I cannot understand
For lack of sleep, and an abundance of
Parallel universes,
My body holding a memory
Of your soul penetrating it.

This is the perfume I sense
All around my bright house.
My sheets smell of you
How on earth could that be.

I just arrived, the journey prevails.
Your sheets smell of me.
Reminiscent of that feeling
When your thigh
Strong, gentle pressed me
Between my legs.
And now my sheets smell of you.

Good morning, did you sleep alright?
As it were, my sheets
And yours—must have been weaved
Together last night.
