1.25 a.m.

I was smoking a cigarette at the window
Across from me in another building
A boy’s face lit by a computer screen.
And the first frost of winter
Was announcing itself.

I had fallen asleep on the couch
Woke up covered in sweat
Dreaming to have completely surrendered
In your arms
As you caught me from a fall.

It builds up slowly – to hesitate
In a brief moment – time stops,
Before giving in completely
To the eruption of elation and revelations,
The greatest pleasures of them all.

A woman learns, in time
How to come, how to be free,
And with every winter ahead
From this point on
You shall dream of me.
